During this 1-day workshop you will get introduction to Lean, Pull Systems and Kanban. You get also explained how an established industrial engineering theory can be applied in a project context, resulting in better quality, faster delivery and a higher value of outputs being released to customers.
Kanban is becoming the next big trend in agile development. It is the newest method in the transition from the batch and queue mindset, towards a production or service line model for delivering projects. The key ingredients of Kanban are:
- Focus on quality.
- Reducing Work in Progress.
- Balancing capacity against demand
- Prioritising.
A Kanban is a constant exercise of matching demand with supply, to deliver the right thing at the right time. It helps teams deliver value to the business by promoting flow and reducing work in progress and waste by:
- Mapping the value stream.
- Limiting Work in Progress (WIP) to the team capacity with the objective to maximise throughput and reduce cycle time and multitasking.
- Making both work and workflow transparent for the team and stakeholders.
